Plume 'n Tails makes handcrafted pet furniture with ecology in mind.

Our pet furniture is made with ethically harvested, reclaimed and recycled wood, some having been milled almost half a century ago. Wood like this cannot be easily found without cutting down old growth forest... and this we will not support. We use cedar, spruce, pine and a variety of deciduous woods taken from British Columbia's Inland Rain Forest — woods that resonate with spiritual and ecological significance.

As proud dog and cat owners, with over-35 years of animal husbandry experience, we can honestly say that we understand what works for your pet. Caring and responsibility go into the making of every one of our pet products from start to finish. We put our knowledge of how to love, cherish and satisfy your dog's or cat's living needs into each and every one of our handcrafted products.

About Us

Long–time homesteaders, Emily and Gustav Youngreen, have been milling recycled and reclaimed wood on their 29 acres of lush green forest, in the mountain region of Southeastern British Columbia, since 1970. Always close to the issues of forest sustainability in the area, they have taken a personal interest in contributing towards healthy and ethical solutions affecting our future and the futures of other species. Their extensive history with animal husbandry — they’ve raised horses, goats, sheep and rabbits, as well as many purring and barking family members — has led them to turn some of that reclaimed and recycled wood into lovingly handcrafted furniture for dogs and cats.
